Hardside Care
We advise washing hardside luggage with a mild soap and warm water, then thoroughly rinsing. Any decent silicone-based car or furniture polish will keep the lustre and increase resilience to the covering if you want to wax the case after cleaning. However, using a cleaner-polish combo to attempt to clean the luggage is NOT something we advise.
Softside Care
We advise spot cleaning softside luggage with water and a mild soap (such as dish soap). If this doesn’t work, try using a spot-removing solution for clothing, such Spray ‘n Wash, or a foaming cleaner for car mats or carpets (available at auto parts stores). Use a solution of vinegar (1 part) and water (5 parts) if the luggage smells bad. This might get rid of the smell, but it will still need to air out for a few days. Additionally, depending on the intensity of the odour, we advise adding charcoal to the bag for a day or longer before sealing it. The fragrance will be absorbed by the charcoal.
